Position Summary

Develop, Supervise, and Lead  the Volleyball Program to be a successful extension of the school.

This is a part-time position offered on an annual basis.  This is not attached to a full-time teaching position.

Current available full-time positions include: None currently but subject to change in Spring 2026

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follow guidelines from Coaches' Handbook.

Uphold values & live BMCHS’ Mission 

Follow rules in FacultyHandbook.

Comply w/ Diocesan/BMCHS Conduct, Communication, & Supervision Policy

Implement BMCHS Athletic Policy Re Alumni @ Practices

Meet w/ concerned parents & update AD.

Maintain all sport equipment. 

Be aware of all OSSAA & NFHS rules.

Be on time for all practices & games/events.

Attend Annual Prof. Development clinic.

Complete annual training required by OSSAA/NFHS/BMCHS (HeadHeatHeartSafe & Sacred etc)

Dress professionally and appropriately. 

Maintain facilities & report issues.

Supervise your student-athletes.

Additional duties assigned by Principal/AD.

Schedule all practices, games, & events.

Maintain communication w/ parents/players.

Direct & evaluate all assistant coaches.

Be a positive role model for athletes.

Inspire students in a variety of ways.

Engage alumni & develop a full program.

Adequately nominate & recognize athletes.

Prepare & follow a  budget for upcoming season (Due in Fall). Alert AD before any variation.

Inventory & track all equipment distribution, use & recovery.

Alert AD/Counselors of any potential NCAA/NAIA athletes.

Follow school & athletic branding guidelines.

Acquire PO & approval before purchasing.

Conduct a preseason parents’ meeting.

Maintain HealthyRoster.

Submit injury reports to AD as needed.

Maintain athletes’ OSSAA & BMCHS eligibility.

Email teachers 72 hrs prior to absence w/ accurate roster. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher college degree in a related field.

Values in alignment with Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School & the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

5+ years experience as a Head High School Coach.

CDL Class B w/ Air Brakes or willingness to obtain.

Compensation:

$5,000.00 seasonal stipend.  No benefits.
