Greetings, 

My name is Gerard Wheeler and I am interested in continuing my coaching career in Oklahoma. I am open to all varsity level positions from assistant to a head coach position. 

My coaching experience of 3 years has been spent as the Defensive Line Coach at Broken Arrow and this past year as the Offensive Coordinator at Porter Consolidated Schools. Alongside play-calling and game-planning I mainly focused on developing the Offensive Line and Defensive Line. 

Why do I want to continue being a football coach? I am crafted from selflessness, I am hungry to win and compete, and I am passionate about the game and player development. 

My love for the game comes from my playing days in high school and at The University Of Tulsa. In high school I played at Plano Senior in Texas where I was an All-District & All- Area Offensive linemen. This momentum blessed me with the opportunity of a full ride to The University of Tulsa where I started in 33 games at the Center position, became an All-Conference linemen, and played in 2 bowl games through the years 2019-2021. 

I graduated with 2 Bachelors Degrees and an Associate’s at The University of Tulsa. My current directions for my Oklahoma Teaching Certification is Middle School Mathematics.
